5/5 dinner in Danville! We ordered a handful of dishes and shared them amongst four people. Everything was really flavorful and fresh. Oysters and Calamari were my absolute favorite and all of the cocktails were delicious and picture worthy! Our server Catherine, who was absolutely amazing, gave us really good recommendations. We ordered the lobster tagliatini and suggested adding scallops which made it THAT much better. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and calamari was unlike others we've tasted - in the best way possible! The manager was also so lovely. She put the football game on for my fiancé and continuously checked in on our table. Danville needed a place like this - modern and aesthetic with an oceanic vibe. We'll definitely be returning soon to try the rest of the menu!

If you are trying to pick a date place...pick here! They have a pretty good happy hour. I should know, I came by myself and ordered five tapas since everything was delicious. Their seafood is very fresh and the oysters were honestly some of the best I ever had meogee. Their shrimp cocktail were huge and perfect texture, excellent seabass and perfectly flavored Caesar salad. Their beer on tap was good as well as their cocktails. I love small bite foods and they had quite a bit to pick from but they also have prime rib and lobster. Their happy hour is 4-5:30, food is worth it but as far as meeting people it was mostly couples.

Our first time at Tides will definitely not be our last! Holy cow, the Miyagi oysters had to be some of the biggest we've ever had! They were so good. The sea bass ceviche was another great choice. The happy hour menu has something for everyone! I sense a Friday rut!

We met for Happy Hour this past Wednesday, sat on the darling patio with Kobe my chihuahua. Right out the gate they brought Kobe a personal size, stainless steel, bowl, "water poured table side", he loved it. Jason W was our server, he was exceptional! I ordered all of his recommendations and have been dreaming of going back since! The food was sooo incredibly yummy, we loved everything we ordered. We'll be back real soon, I'll keep my eye out for Jason.

Date night here! Beautiful indoor and outdoor ambiance, attentive servers, and wonderful food. We had a reservation and were seated quickly after. We ordered clam chowder and calamari to start! The chowder was delicious, but we were disappointed to see it only came with 3 clams total. The calamari was absolutely amazing though, perfectly fried and the arugula salad paired perfectly with it. We also ordered bread and butter- the miso butter it came with was insane! Could eat it by itself. Our mains were the battered cod and lobster tagliatini. The cod was so fresh, and felt light despite the fry. The wedge fries were flavorful and seasoned perfectly. My boyfriend was pretty disappointed with the lobster tagliatini, it was pretty flavorless and the pasta was undercooked. Pretty presentation, but bland and not worth it. Overall, we had a great experience- beautiful inside, yum fresh food, and our server Jason, was kind and personable, it made our experience that much better.

What a great addition to Downtown Danville. Tides has been on my list of restaurants to try since I heard of it's opening. They took over the space that was Albatross. Since it was my parents' last night it town and they're both fish and seafood lovers, I thought it'd be a great place to take them. It was. Apparently they're affiliated with Forbes Mill, so it's no wonder one of their signature item is Prime Rib Eye (Steak). For Starters: *Seared scallops- Nicely seared over a bead of corn succotush Poke- fresh tuna, nicely tossed in a soy sauce based marinade, served with thin taro chips. Reminded me of my go to restaurant in Hawaii. The Calamari- Not your typical fried app. One of my favorite dishes of the night. THIS is something I will CRAVE and will keep ne coming back. From the fresh arugula to their homemade sweet chili dressing made in house. I was fighting for the last bite. Main: Alaskan Halibut- Sous vide for tender moist bites. Nicely seared without drying out the fish. Served with a side of purple cauliflower seasoned well, cherry tomatoes, over a puree of...greens. Squid Ink Papardelle- Lots of mussels and clams. Pasta was al dented. Mom enjoyed it. Chilean Sea Bass- Dad enjoyed it Salmon- Beautiful seared. My DD devoured the dish. Prime Rib Eye Steak- A tad bit medium well rather medium rare that Hubs ordered. Butter based sauce had good flavor but it took away from the meat taste itself IMHO. Drink: Tropical Punch- good fruity flavor Jackson Triggs Reserve (ice wine, Canada)- paired nicely with 3 desserts, esp the Pistachio Joconda Dessert (My favorite part of the meal): Lemon Chiffon Cake- THIS was art. We were all fighting for the last bite. My only regret is not getting it. Sourdough Apple Bread Pudding- I am a bread Pudding lover. The flavors of apple caramel ice cream and chopped almonds worked so well together Pistachio Joconde- lighter of the 3 but so tasty. Mango, kiwi and cake. Went with w my glass of ice wine. Excellent service by Robin and wait staff. I can't wait to come back again. Soon to try other dishes.

First off, a really good place for a romantic date night. Not too loud, lighting isn't super dim, but dim enough to create a classy mood. Service was also super attentive and nice! They do check in on you, but at least not when you're in the middle of eating/chewing. Which...bless that. Now for the food. Appetizers were crab cake and clam chowder. The crab cake was spot on, presentation was amazing, taste was perfect. The clam chowder is probably the best I've had around this area. It's close to Santa Barbara's Lure Fish House as far as silkiness and smoothness goes. For the drinks, we got the Peach Spritz and the Tropical punch. For the same cost at $10 per drink, not sure why the peach spritz was so small compared to the tropical punch. That said the tropical punch was pretty good. Tart and sweet at the same time. If anything the peach spritz was more tart which was weird. For the entree, my fiancé got the scallop risotto and I got the lobster tagliatelle. I tried a bit of the scallop risotto and it was cooked perfectly. Not overcooked at all or undercooked for that matter. It was creamy and delicious. The lobster tagliatelle was the same too. The sauce was delicious. Pasta was cooked perfectly and there's a good amount of lobster which is awesome. Definitely suggest those two dishes. Then for the dessert, we got their Chocolate Delight. Basically it's dark chocolate mousse, chocolate tuile, brownie crisp, and coffee ice cream. The only suggestion is the tuile could be crisper. The edges were crisp but the center of it didn't have the nice cracking sound as you normally would have. So probably needed a bit longer to crisp up. But the taste was on point. The coffee ice cream was amazing. Not icy and was pretty smooth. The main dessert was also really good and pairs well with the sea salt on top. Overall really good spot for food. Drinks maybe can be passed on next time but with service being awesome too, I can see myself coming back for a fancy date night.

Ooooo, this place is good. I came here for a birthday celebration and immediately was pleased with the friendly service. Not only that, but the waiter gave us a full plate of mussels on the house -- which, it was a mistake but nonetheless made my experience better. The 10/10 dish was the lobster tagliatelle. It was creamy, flavorful, and had a great amount of lobster. The mussels were also delish, but there were some that weren't fully open (spoilt) but it was free, soooo. I would definitely return here for another nice outing, it's not your casual place to stop in all the time, but a great contender for an occasion.

Came here for my wife's birthday. The ambiance is on the upscale side without being overly pretentious. We were seated with our family fairly quickly. Service was good and attentive. We ordered the following: Clam Chowder 3.5/5 - Nothing really special here. They did use real clams in the shell which we had to pick out with a provided mini fork. The chowder fell short in flavor depth. Caesar Salad 4/5 - A good solid salad with a cheese cracker on top. Nothing to complain about here. Scallop Risotto 4/5 - The scallops were cooked perfectly with a nice sear. The risotto had good texture with a rich cream sauce. Petrale Sole 3/5 - the fish was cooked perfectly but was a bit over salted. It's too bad because the fish was not dry. Chocolate Delight 4/5 - this dessert was very good with a chocolate ganache and chocolate cake filled ball of hardened chocolate served with vanilla ice cream. Very good way to end the evening. Overall a good dining experience that I would recommend for a slightly higher occasion than a weekend meal.
